  1. Is this the garden of your new home? And how often do you go home? I find a sea in between me and my home land a serious barrier for visiting home often.
Everybody seems to be wanting to set up a hackerspace in Edinburgh, but nobody finds the space to do it in.
Have more fun in WhiteSpace, I envy you a bit.

  2. Hey Tine, no that is home at my parents place, just needed a nice spring-ish photo for the post, haven't really started with finding a new, new home yet...

That visit was actually the first time I was really home this year (since xmas); it is not super far and there is no water in between, but ~550km one way is too much of driving every other weekend.

It is actually strange if go "home" every once in a while, but if you keep yourself busy w/ hackerspaces and similar activities you are not so home sick, but returning from a home visit is def. strange, I need half a day to flip the mental switch, once I am back here.

In any case, if you are serious about the hackerspace, follow the design patterns, they really work: http://events.ccc.de/congress/2007/Fahrplan/events/2133.en.html http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/Design_Patterns It only takes a little luck to find place.

Fingers crossed, greetings to your Islander and make sure to ping me, when you guys are here in Gent for a visit!
